All related Google services are also accessible from this site. To improve local acceptability, the site’s interface can be viewed in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi or Telugu along with the default English language.
According to reports, more than 26.5 million unique visitors come to Google.co.in every day and 424 million search queries are requested on daily basis. 5.38% of global Internet users are hitting the site to place it on No. 10 in Alexa’s World website traffic ranking.
Facebook, the top social networking site of the world, was founded by Mark Zuckerberg back and launched on February 4, 2004. The site enjoyed an immense growth, reaching 1.5 billion registered users from almost everywhere on the Earth. The social networking platform allows users to share special moments or everyday thoughts with friends, family members and also with people from different countries or cultures.

YouTube was first launched in 2005. Initially it began as a project by three people who were formerly working in the international online payment service – PayPal. YouTube is basically a web site where users can upload videos for everyone else to watch online. Judging the site’s potential, Google acquired YouTube.com for about 1.65 billion USD. Today YouTube streams more than 180 billion minutes of video per month, to nearly 800 million site visitors.
YouTube continued to evolve with the addition of new and improved features. Though the site has been free to use so far, a subscription based service called YouTube Red was recently announced. The online shopping leader Amazon started their operation in India in 2013. The largest online sellers and cloud service provider of US brands their Indian part as Amazon.in. Over the last couple of years, Amazon.in has strived to include sellers of all kinds as its partner, resulting an unprecedented collection of products. It has largely outnumbered its Indian competitor Flipkart by a whopping 5 million more items. No matter what you want to buy Amazon has that already in stock for you. During the festive time of October 2015, Amazon.in received about 200 million visitors to its web and mobile site, which is the maximum so far for this thriving online marketplace.
Yahoo Inc originated in USA during the dot com bubble era of internet. Soon this internet based technology company gained wide popularity all over the world. Yahoo News and Answers are two other popular services.
Interestingly, Yahoo India uses the web address in.yahoo.com, unlike Google’s co.in domain. As the Indian portal uses a sub domain, it is hard to get exact visitor numbers for the site. But a rough calculation in June 2013 shows that there were about 40 million Indian users visiting at least one of Yahoo services that month. The global number of unique users per month is approximately 700 million.

Flipkart.com has been in fierce competition with Amazon India in recent years. The US ecommerce giant entered Indian market in 2013 but has already suppressed Filpkart’s 164 million unique visitors by attracting nearly 200 million users as of October 2015. Flipkart has also taken strong steps to stay in competition by aiming to increase its contracted third party seller numbers to nearly a hundred thousand by the end of 2015 as compared to its thirty thousand sellers recorded in June 2015. On a rough estimate, the company has about 30 million items listed in its online marketplace and it delivers nearly 8.5 million shipments per month. The number of user accounts is about 50 million.
