Sherlyn Chopra and ‘Kamasutra 3D’ director Rupesh Paul is the latest actor-director fight and differences exist duo to lock horn. Off late, the stripping queen Sherlyn Chopra has been in news for involving in an ugly cat fight with ‘Kamasutra 3D’ director Rupesh Paul. Sherlyn who has done few small roles in movies blessed to bag a full-fledged role in ‘Kamasutra 3D’ but unfortunately, she could not continue with the film due to her unprofessional conduct and brawl with the director.
It all started when Sherlyn posted a naked clipping from the film on YouTube. Paul outraged when Sherlyn without his knowledge uploaded the clipping from the film. Kamasutra 3D Director Rupesh Paul challenges Sherlyn Chopra and He felt it was very unprofessional on her part and threatened to throw Sherlyn out of the film for being so unprofessional and for breaking the rule of a project.
Since then the tiff between Sherlyn and Rupesh broadened and thickened with every passing day. They made their fight public by tweeting against each other on social networking site. Following the fight, Paul threatened to use her nude footage as porn in the global commercial porn market and not in the ‘Kamasutra 3D’ movie. The director also said that he would replace Sherlyn with some other actresses.
Sherlyn also did not put a full stop on the fight. She bounced back and slapped a legal notice against the director. She lodged a police complaint against the director for making sexual advances towards her and cheating on her of Rs 7 lakh, of her total remuneration.
She said in her complaint that Paul had refused to pay her the remaining money after she refused to make sexual favour. The Santacruz police are investigating the case and the police then informed that after repeated request, the actress did not turn up at the police station to record her statement. “We requested her to reach the police station and record her statement several times, but she did not come, stating that she has been busy,” Police commissioner Chavan informed.
Sherlyn then stated that she was too busy to come down to the police station and record her statement but she will do in a day or two. Meanwhile, director Rupesh Paul denied seven lakh allegations against him. “The payment was to be made in four parts. The fourth part (of Rs seven lakh) was to be paid, after she came for dubbing. (But) now that she has said that she is not doing the movie and would not do dubbing, what should we pay her for,” Paul told PTI, reacting to her allegations.
“She is a liar. These allegations are baseless. She used to call me ‘Appa’ and ‘Captain’. She used to touch my feet before shooting. The fact is that she mentally tortured us a lot. She was too demanding and she made the crew wait for hours on the sets. It was hell working with her. It was because of the producers that I had to adjust with her,” Paul said. Rupesh Paul further said that the actress Sherlyn Chopra was too demanding and had thrown starry tantrums on the film set.
Sherlyn also claimed that the director has sent her abusive mails but Rupesh Paul denied sending any abusive emails. “I have all the evidence I have never sent her such messages or emails,” he said. The fight between the two triggered when Sherlyn did not turn up for the music launch of the film.
Sherlyn claimed that she has hardly shot five days for the film and she walked out of the film without making any ruckus. “The makers of KS3D cannot persuade me 2 promote the film anymore on any platform whatsoever,” she justifies her stand for being absent from the trailer launch.
Rupesh further tweeted: “We’ll it’s actually a new news for me to know that Sherlyn has quit the movie. As a director, I have shot all the scenes with her for my movie except for few promotional ones. Then I fail to understand when did she quit? Paul and Chopra continue to abuse one another on Twitter, “We’ll it’s actually a new news for me to know that Sherlyn has quit the movie.
As a director, I have shot all the scenes with her for my movie except for few promotional ones. Then I fail to understand when did she quit? “She should not forget that it is Rupesh Paul and Kamasutra 3D who has brought her to the light of cinema from the stinking darkness of porn and filth,” Paul said in an equally derogatory statement.
After a verbal spat with the ‘Kamasutra 3D’ director, Sherlyn too fell in a legal trap. Paul filed a defamation case against the actress for tarnishing his image and slapped 5 crore as damage compensation on the actress.
When contacted, the filmmaker confirmed this development. “I had to take this step as Sherlyn has crossed all boundaries of decency this time around. No human being should behave this way with another,” he said.
Their fight took an ugly turn when Sherlyn claimed that her popularity helped the maker of ‘Kamasutra 3D’ to arrange funds for the film.
Well, the fight might have proved disaster for Sherlyn Chopra as she lost the bright chance to be a part of the project but it proved blessing for the film in disguise. Ahead of the release, ‘Kamasutra 3D’ has gained huge publicity.
