Direct Ishq Movie Review
My friends tell me that I am lucky for doing a work that allows me to watch free movies. It’s true but only when my job is to review movies like Neerja and Airlift. I also do not mind doing reviews for commercial nonsense like Dilwale.
But when I have to review a movie like Direct Ishq I feel like my job is a pure torture. You need to work hard to stay awake at the cinema hall. I actually wonder why the producer released the movie this week when highly talked-about movie Neerja is releasing simultaneously.
Anyway, let’s get to my job, the review of Hindi film Direct Ishq. This is about a Damsel who is in Distress. She is distress because two men are in love with her at the same time. One of them is a rich sophisticated boy (perfect groom candidate) while the other one is a goon. The goon is determined to marry this pretty girl. I was not really interested to know who gets the girl at the end, as nothing about the movie kept me engaged. On top of this, the casting list of the film got the worst actors of Bollywood.
Rajneesh Duggal is the only known face in the film. He is playing the role of a sophisticated rich boy. He is good looking but act as a mannequin. He is an empty vase. He needs to retire from the movies today.
Arjun Bijlani, the debutante plays the bad guy. We seriously don’t know who taught him acting but he just taught him shouting and making faces and forgot teaching about acting. Nidhi Subbaiah, the woman who plays a damsel in distress, has a very irritating dialogue delivery.
It is hard to believe that someone actually gets paid to make this disaster. There is no doubt that the future of the director Rajiv S. Ruia is not looking very bright. The only thing that prevented me from killing myself at the theater is the music. The music in not that great but Vivek Kar and Tanishk have managed to produce some melodious songs.
