Heat wave program will soon be launched in two high risk regions by Indian officials in order to protect lives from the extreme heat of summer. With huge climate change, the situation is getting worse in the summer season that killed around 2500 lives last year only in India.
Summer is the most challenging time to Indian people during which all the crops are destroyed, farm animals are wiped out, people suffer a lot and the forests are dried up. The aim of heat wave program is to remove this cursed situation.
According to the Indian Director of Natural Resources Defense Council Anjali Jaiswal, India is getting hotter with days and killing more and more people.
This organization is helping the local leaders, official to adopt the heat wave program.
Heat wave program would be launched in few cities of Orissa and Nagpur during the next week where climate change is on high. These two states witnessed 47 degree C temperature last year.
In this program the involved cities will teach people how to deal the climate change. It involves educating the children on heat risk, providing training to the medical staff to recognize properly the dehydration, heat stroke and heat stress, stocking ice bags and water in the hospitals etc.
However all other cities are also being said to adopt this program so as to saves as many lives as possible.
