A candid picture of wife can become world famous by making its way to millions of people was out of dream to the Bangalore based photographer Ashish Parmar. A picture of Ashish Parmar’s wife in red saree and holding diya at her hand became a part of the ‘shot on iPhone’ campaign.
This actually started in the last year in November 15 when this photographer posted a picture of wife in Instagram with hashtag #shotoniPhone6. In the second week of December he received a call from Apple and were asked if he would love to show his wife’s picture to the whole world as it is being selected for their ‘shot on iPhone’ campaign.
Ashish Parmar was amazed by the news as it is really a good news at all the level be it personal or professional.
This shot on iPhone campaign started on February 1 where 53 photos taken by real people is selected and this Bangalore photographer is the only Indian on that list.
The couple bought an iPhone, the latest version last year before Diwali and on the day of Diwali Ashish Parmar’s wife was walking with a plate of diyas at her hand. It caught his eyes and he captured a picture of wife asking her to stand against a wall with just one diya at hand.
This man is a fan of photography since childhood and left studying after 10th grade for that. His father started a photo studio then for him and he ran it 12-13 years before shutting it down. Later he completely engaged himself in wildlife photography.
He also runs a photography school and mainly promotes the tiger tourism conducting workshop and tours in places like India, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Kenya etc.
His wife Raina Nanaiah is too happy and the photographer has stated that it is really a heart-warming experience to see hoardings of picture of wife in different places in India and abroad including France, US and UK.
